JC1 Student's Visit to PLACE the exhibition

PLACE is an exhibition by a class of ex-RJ art students... It's held at this really cool place at 16 Marshall Road (a tad far from the school though...)

PLACE is about the artists' personal interpretation of what the word 'place' means to each of them. Most of them worked and interacted with the exhibition space allocated to them and worked out art pieces that are almost tactile in meaning. Kudos to the team!

Most importantly, Berny, one of the artists took time off to give our students an insightful tour around the space and about the artworks. This really helped our students to gain a feel of what it really means to think, work and eventually become an artist - something that will help them through their coursework days to come... I hope. Anyway... here are some pictures!

Berny was really helpful, kept asking if our students have any questions regarding the coursework processes and SOVA learning...

En Ci, ex-NYJCian was sort of a surprise/guest speaker for that day...

This particular work with book pages suspended from the ceiling is really captivating. I especially liked the little surprises that the artist had hidden in the work!
Pondering about traditional communication and modern technology.
